Last Saturday’s #ArizonaPublicLandsDay Hike was a Last Saturday’s #ArizonaPublicLandsDay Hike was a wonderful reminder of how special our public lands are. Thank you to everyone who joined the Arizona Trail Association and the @azwildlifefed for a beautiful day on the #ArizonaTrail in Flagstaff!

Special thanks to Clay for leading the hike and sharing some of the ways to connect with nature on the trail. From stopping to smell the sweet, butterscotch scent of old ponderosa pines to spotting local birds along the way, it was a great reminder that slowing down and engaging our senses can make time outdoors even more meaningful.

We’re grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate and enjoy our public lands together. There’s nothing better than getting outside, exploring the Arizona Trail, and appreciating the landscapes that make Arizona so special.

Today is #ArizonaGivesDay — a chance to invest in Today is #ArizonaGivesDay — a chance to invest in the places that make Arizona special. 🌵🌲
One of those places is the Arizona Trail — an 800-mile pathway that connects deserts, mountains, forests, and communities across our state. It’s a place where people find adventure, solitude, wildlife, and a deeper connection to Arizona’s landscapes.

The #ArizonaTrailAssociation works year-round to build, maintain, and protect this National Scenic Trail so that everyone can experience it. From youth programs like @aztsos and @aztgeargirls to our @aztrailvets program, our work keeps this national treasure open and thriving.

If the #ArizonaTrail has inspired you — through hiking, riding, running, volunteering, or simply knowing it’s there — today is a great day to give back. Your support helps ensure this trail remains wild, accessible, and protected for future generations.

Today is #ArizonaPublicLandsDay! Arizona is home t Today is #ArizonaPublicLandsDay!
Arizona is home to over 30 million acres of public land, which accounts for nearly 50% of all #Arizona land. These lands are open to the American public for outdoor recreation while also providing natural areas for our wildlife and native plant species. Arizonans regularly hike, hunt, fish, kayak, and bike through these lands — their importance for our connection to the great outdoors cannot be overstated.

#Publiclands are areas of land and water that are owned collectively by citizens and managed by government agencies. These lands include everything from city, state, and national parks to forest lands, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands, National Monuments, and everything in between.

We hope you get out today to enjoy your public lands!
