In Memoriam: Erin Margaret Taylor
Erin Margaret Taylor, 28, passed away on May 30, 2019. Erin was born in New Mexico and raised in Casa Grande, AZ. Erin was a loving mother of two children Lyanne and Jax of Casa Grande. She was a caring daughter and sister and will be remembered for her laughter, smile and determination.
She loved to cook and bake, especially using her grandmother and great-grandmother’s recipes. She had a keen interest in music, especially Country Western. She was never without a karaoke machine, always singing to her kids and whoever would listen.
As a child growing up, Erin spent time with her father, Kent Taylor, on a variety of trail work events in Pinal County. Her daughter Lyanne is continuing that tradition; she participated in the Gear Girls program during the summer of 2019 and helped build a new segment of the Arizona Trail on the Babbitt Ranch.
Erin left us way too early and we miss her dearly, but we feel her presence and hear her voice as we enjoy the Arizona Trail.
Any donations made in memoriam for Erin will be earmarked for the ATA’s Gear Girls program.
