Loop Hikes/Rides On The Arizona Trail
This page contains a listing of loop hikes/rides that can be done on the Arizona Trail. They are listed from south to north and vary in distance. Some of the loops are suitable for hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers. Some are not recommended for equestrians and some in wilderness areas exclude mountain bikers. A few are best for mountain bikers. Each named loop has a description in PDF file format and most have a map. Click on the appropriate links to use these resources.
For greater details of the Arizona Trail part of the loop hikes/rides, see the Arizona Trail Data Book for elevations, reference to GPS waypoints, and miscellaneous notes. GPS waypoints are available on the passages page.
If you find an error in either the text or a map of one of the loops, please let us know about it.
All Updated as of April 2020 using the same background as the ATA Topo Map Set! Also, these PDFs can be imported into the Avenza Map app where you can use the location (GPS) from your mobile device to see your location on the map. More details on Avenza Map app use
