Arizona Trail Angels

Arizona Trail Angels are volunteers who offer support and trail magic along the AZT. Services offered by Trail Angels include water caching, shuttles, laundry/shower facilities, food, and lodging. Services are provided to Trail users free of charge.

Interested in becoming a Trail Angel? Visit our Trail Angel Registration page.

Already a trail angel? Fill out our Trail Angel Survey so that we can better support you as you support AZT users.

**Important Information for Trail Users**

Trail Angels listed on this page are not representing the Arizona Trail Association. The list is provided as a community service in an effort to connect long-distance trail users with individuals who offer their personal amenities and services as a gesture of goodwill. The ATA does not endorse these individuals, nor has the association interviewed, screened or assessed any Trail Angels for any of the services they claim to offer. The ATA disclaims any liability for any and all negative encounters that may result from interactions between Trail Angels and trail users. All individuals are encouraged to use good judgement, and to report any questionable behavior to the ATA and/or local law enforcement.

Trail Angels and Trail users have a responsibility to protect and sustain the AZT and the surrounding landscape. The video below provides tips on how Trail Angels can minimize negative impacts to the natural environment while providing services to Trail users.

For more information on appropriate water caching practices, visit our water sources page.
