We are excited to announce that new trail construc We are excited to announce that new trail construction is underway on the Santa Rita Foothills Singletrack reroute project within the Coronado National Forest!
@flagline_trails began mechanized trail construction on October 1 and the ATA will be working with conservation corps crews and volunteers to finish machine-built trail using hand tools, hand build new trail and obliterate old sections of trail. The primary goal of this project is to remove the #AZT from dirt roads while improving trail sustainability and user experience. Once completed, this project will add a total of 10.7-miles of new singletrack trail to passages 5 and 6 and will make both of these passages road-free!

Crews are responding to wildfire south of C.C. Cragin Reservoir

CLINTS WELL, Ariz., Oct. 3, 2025 โ€” Firefighters are responding to a wildfire located approximately just south of C.C. Cragin Reservoir (aka Blue Ridge Reservoir) approximately 7 miles directly east of Clints Well.

The wildfire was caused by lightning, believed to have begun several days ago, and is currently 15-20 acres. No communities or structures are threatened, and the fire is moving at a low rate of spread in a southerly direction, producing smoke visible to those in the immediate area.

Resources responding include the Blue Ridge Hotshots, two engines, and a contingent of the Flagstaff Hotshots and Crew 9.

Smoke is expected to remain visible in the fire area as firefighters work to suppress and extinguish the wildfire.

This will be the final news release regarding the Houston Fire unless new information is obtained of an emergency nature.
